This INR 2.5 million project involved designing a solar panel network for Alaknanda Hospital Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, India. The panel is a rooftop structure that is 45 feet from ground level and is at a 5-degree incline with an overall power capacity of 50 kilowatts. To optimize design and ensure structural integrity, the team created a 3D model of the panel using 3D CAD software and imported it into a Bentley engineering analysis application.
The project team used STAAD.Pro to simulate wind analysis of the panel. Using Bentley’s interoperable technology facilitated seamless integration with the 3D CAD software. The automated features of STAAD.Pro reduced analysis time and resource hours to increase the return on investment on the project.
